If you are organising a heritage event, craft or country fayre and you're looking for something different to add to your timetable, why not get in touch with The York City Levy and see what we can offer?

For a typical display we would normally arrive and set up the evening before and stay overnight on site, enabling us to be ready for opening time the following day. Our main requirements are access to drinking water and toilet facilities, and if cooking is to be part of our display we also need a supply of firewood.

While we are a voluntary group, we make a daily charge to cover our travel expenses, the cost of food and craft materials for demonstration. Any surplus is invested in further equipment for the group.

We provide a risk assessment for our activities and have public liability insurance; a copy of our insurance certificate is available for review. We work to the English Heritage guidelines for Health and Safety and Child Welfare.
